This important scientific contribution presents an overview, critique, and updating of the nomenclature of Galápagos tortoises, along with a comprehensive historical review of the survival status and population trends of all the known populations. The volume is available in hard or soft cover and consists of 85 pages of text profusely and richly illustrated in color with 65 plates and photographs ( 12 in black and white and 53 in full color) ilustrating all described and recognized taxa, including extinct forms, and 11 maps showing geographical distributions of all populations.
